Bountiful In Home Newborn Session - Bountiful Newborn Photographer

I love getting to Photograph friends! Ashley and I grew up in California together. We did a lot of things together in High School and so many mutual friends. Once we moved to Northern Utah, I saw that she wasn’t too far away and was thrilled for them when they announced that they had adopted their second baby. I was so happy to be able to do these for them. The Laneri family has adopted their two boys and they are just precious.

When it comes to income sessions my greatest advice is to not worry about cleaning your whole house, pick 1-3 rooms, whatever feels manageable to you, and you can literally just throw toys, clothes and whatever else into closets or other rooms so it is out of sight. Make your bed, if you're in a bedroom and call it good. Living rooms, and nurseries, or a bedroom are the most common places to do your pictures. Besides that the most important thing to look for and keep in mind when you are trying to decide where to do them is lighting, which rooms have big windows or lots of natural light; note NOT direct light. This will leave harsh weird shadows and make it hard for everyone to see great during your session. This family had a small living room with great natural light coming in two windows and it made even lighting on everyone.

Let’s go over what the Laneri family did right for this session. First, they stuck to one room with great natural light. This just meant moving out a few items and then we didn’t need to worry about any other messes in the house. Second, they also wore great neutral colors to not stick out weird and so everyone coordinated well. Don’t these pictures just feel calming? I believe that’s because of the colors they chose to wear. Third, These parents were calm and willing to take feeding breaks without stressing about a short attention span toddler and a hungry newborn. The pictures speak for themselves I think!
