I love a fresh snow and a new location. Park City is a great spot to vacation and a great place to take family pictures, Did you know that Park City has a reservoir in it? It’s beautiful with snow on it! This family was traveling from out of town and wanted to get pictures done to remember the trip and these sweet boys.

Kids can be so unpredictable, especially with snow and cold weather so having a good photographer who is ready for anything really helps ;) I try to keep things moving quickly so kids aren’t thinking about the cold much. I bring a warm blanket, hand warmers (which really help) and a sled. Who knew you needed to have so little to have so much fun in the snow. if you are brave enough to have a snow ball fight I save that for the very end.

I love how well colors pop against a fresh snow fall, it’s another unique aspect to shooting in the snow. You really can’t go wrong with color minus white. You don’t want to be a bunch of floating heads in your pictures.
