I am so glad this was my first session in Utah after our move. Park City is such an awesome place to vacation to and visit even if you live in Utah. The resorts up there are awesome and the snow just doesn’t compare. This family gets together every winter around the holidays to enjoy time together in Park City at Promotory Club. Family pictures don’t just have to be with little kids or once grandkids are in the picture, working with all adults can be just as fun. We basically had a blizzard the day of this session and were able to just use a small pathway near the resort they were staying out and I think they turned out great. I always love snow capped trees and the look of falling snow.

Park City is such a great place to visit and get pictures done all year round but gettin winter pictures done in basically a snow globe is super unique and absolutely beautiful. Don’t let the cold of the snow scare you off. When you book with me I send a thorough outfit guide to help you plan your outfits strategically without compromising fashion. Layers, Hand warmers and accessories are key! We work smarter, not harder during these types of sessions and the results don’t suffer at all! I always encourage neutral or earth tones when it comes to colors for outfits and I think this family nailed it.

When it comes to all adults at a session, you get a lot more time with your siblings and your partner. Each of these couples got several minutes together and from that time you could see the difference in how each of these relationships are. That’s what I am hoping for you when we work together, that your final pictures will reflect accurately your relationship with your loved ones. We played with sleds and even had an epic snow ball fight at the very end of this session (TIP: save those snow balls for the very end so you don’t freeze your fingers the rest of the time). I always want your final pictures to have some posed but then mostly candids of you laughing and having fun with your family.

This family was absolute troopers as it was dumping snow during our session. With hand warmers and breaks for putting on warm jackets, we rotated with getting each couple pictures together while allowing the others to warm up. At one point I don’t think anyone noticed because we were having too much fun. Remember that when it comes to winter outfits, if you are wearing more loose tops you can hide lots of layers there without appearing bulky and hide any spots you feel insecure about.
