Big Island Family Pictures Before our move to Bend, OR | Bend Oregon Family Photographer

Before we moved from Hawaii to Bend, Oregon, I wanted to get family pictures done to showcase our beautiful island and have for a lifetime. It's sad to think my babies won't remember their time here. Let's be honest, Auden probably will, she remembers what she wore on her birthday at 2. Regardless, I knew exactly who to contact to take them. Wilde Sparrow Photography (Aislinn) is a great friend of mine on the island who I love. Her work is incredible. I love her editing style and her ability to capture families as they are.

I always try to stress to my families to leave a few minutes earlier just for anything unexpected, pack extra outfits, and don't dress your little kids till you get to the location. Even doing my best to get us out the door on time, we still left a few minutes behind schedule, which my husband tried to make up on the road which resulted in a speeding ticket haha. This was a great time for me to put in to practice what I tell all my families to do when they arrive. JUST RELAX.

There will still be plenty of time to capture a variety of pictures and great lighting. Coming stressed to your session will show through your pictures and rub off on your kids. If there is something really eating away at you, PLEASE let me know, but if you're worried about how your kids are going to act, leave the stress of that on me. Wilde Sparrow did everything I stated above to make us feel relaxed and comfortable and I am in love with the results we got!

For our outfits, I knew I wanted to base everything off of a specific dress I had (call that selfish, but moms usually care the most about their outfits anyways) and then base everyone else's off of mine. The only thing I had to buy for our session was my husband's button up white shirt (thank you Old Navy Clearance rack). Auden and I wore dresses with patterns, mine was more bold than hers, and the boys stick to solid navy's and whites.

I love that these pictures capture the chaos of our lives right now, honestly most days feel like a blur but a beautiful one and I'm so grateful to have these. Check out more of our family session here at https://www.wildesparrow.com/
