Mother’s Day Mini sessions are some of my favorites to do and I look forward to them each year. During a typical session we always take time to get a few shots of mom with each kid, but its really so special to do a session solely to moms with their kids. In 15 minutes you can see so much of the kids personalities and a mom’s parenting style and get a front see to the love moms have for their kids. These are from last year and I was so happy we added a colored back drop for some variety. White Space studios in Bountiful has so much natural light and the white walls look good anytime of day there. They had an assortment of backdrops for us to pick from and I am definitely going to do that again this year!

I try to create an environment when you show up to these to feel as comfortable as possible and to maximize our short time. I hope you feel like when you get your pictures in return that they genuinely represent your relationship with your kids. I love capturing love, patience, snuggling, fun and all that comes with motherhood. Motherhood is NOT an easy job and to be able to have these pictures to look back on with growing kids will mean so much to you in the future. I also love seeing how moms come dressed up, whether dressy or more casual, you should come however you feel best. You will have access to my outfit guide with examples and recommendations for where to shop for these once you’ve booked your time.

Some moms brought their moms for these, some announced their pregnancy with these, for others this may be the only family pictures they do all year. These are great if you are on a tighter budget and can’t make a regular mini or full session work. I am always ok with your significant other coming and we can quickly do a family picture. And also making sure we get a few individuals of each of your kids and of you, Mom!
