Shevlin Park Family Pictures with Amazing Sunset | Bend Oregon Family Photographer

My first session as a family photographer in Bend, OR (our new home) and it couldn’t have been with a more perfect family!!! The Cecchini's (pronounced like zucchini with a C) are the absolute sweetest people and gave me a great taste of what’s to come here! The Cecchini’s haven’t had their entire family captured since baby H has been earth side! Because they split time with their oldest while he is with mom, to have these pictures all together were so important for their family.

The Cecchini's belong in a magazine with their coordinated earth tone outfits, texture and complimentary accessories. From the boy's jean jackets, to baby bonnets and cream rompers, their neutral basics made them stand out against the desert location. Drew knocked it out of the park (I am talking home run people!!). When planning your family outfits remember to have outfits that COORDINATE vs. MATCH.

When I was looking into locations for this session, I knew I wanted something thing that would show off the gorgeous summer sunsets that Bend offers but also the incredible views of the distant mountains like Mt. Bachelor. Shevlin Park is a diverse location that offered exactly what I was hoping for.

Just 45 minutes before we planned to meet, we were having thunder, lighting and rain! I asked Drew the second I saw a break in those clouds to get in the car and head to Shevlin Park. Our session started overcast and cloudy, but the sunset exploded into a golden sky that made these pictures so warm and vibrant.

When I asked Drew beforehand what was most important for me to capture she mentioned capturing her boys with their "scrunchy nose" big grin laughs, which I knew would mean I would have to bring my A game to get. But guess what, I got it!!

I work hard to get the types of images that you request that will help you remember them at this age. I love all that we captured. This is what I want for every single family I capture.... Joy soaked, candid, touching moments captured on film. Sooo... who's in?
