I love a good extended family session. These 4 siblings meet up every winter in Park City and stay at a house all together. What made this trip even more special is that a few of the families had just welcomed newborns just a few weeks before. How special for these siblings to get to see all their family and introduce their newest additions to everyone. I have done a lot of extended family sessions out in Park City but this is the first where I did the majority of it indoors (because snow and newborns don’t mix well) and the interior of this home was beautiful!! You can see from these pictures how well lit it was with windows and beautifully decorated.

I always send an outfit guide for my clients and my biggest piece of advice is sticking to neutrals and simple patterns. When it comes to a big group it can be hard to try and coordinate everyones outfits but this is the easiest way to do so. You want to pick 2-3 main colors and then add a few smaller colors for accessories or layers if you want. I love cream and olive green and blush. You can never go wrong with neutrals. I also send a outfit guide specific to the season for when you will have your session. This is to help make this as easy as possible when planning all of this, which can be daunting with a big group.

Lots of people travel to Park City all year round and take it as the opportunity to get together with their whole family. If this is you, you should definitely consider doing family pictures while you have everyone together.
