Spring Family Pictures- Salt Lake Family Photographer

Spring was a trip this year. I always forget about how stressful the weather is in spring. Everyone is so excited for the warmth and books for Spring and then all of my clients end up having to reschedule or move the time around a dozen times because it rains, hails, gives us Gail force winds and everything in between. This session was one of those where we had a very large chance of rain all of a sudden and a small window to get this session done. Just know regardless of the weather, we will have fun and make some magic.

When you are working with toddlers and babies you have to be ready to run around and pull out all the tricks and silliness, especially if the weather isn’t ideal. It was windy and a little chilly. Keeping kids moving and distracted with little games and fun is the ticket to getting good pictures. I loved the earth tones and simple patterns this family wore. It went so well against the landscape of the location they chose.

These parents were incredibly patient with their sweet boys. Their oldest took a bit to warm up and truthfully he just wanted to run free. So we let him. Just remember that a new place and cold weather and a new person (me) up in there face can be a lot to handle. I know how to usually handle these and still get great shots out of them. as parents you want to follow their cues versus trying to force them to do anything. Just love on them and the pictures will show it!
