The Long family was visiting Park City for the first time to celebrate their mom’s 60th birthday. Everyone came in from all over the country to celebrate together and wanted to include a family session to commemorate the time together as well! Utah is so beautiful and Park City is known for its amazing outdoors activities and being secluded up in the mountains. There is beauty all around. A definite great spot for family reunions!

This Family requested doing our session earlier in the day. I understand that sometimes this is the best option for our family. I just request that we find a location that will give us the most flattering lighting. We found this beautiful area with tons of tree coverage and some spots with spring wildflowers that gave us great shade for the time of day. When working with little ones remember you are on their time schedule and not yours. I work with the kids that are ready and happy and give the others that need more time break before we start.

When it comes to family pictures sometimes it feels like the cards are stacked against you! There can be last minute sickness, sleep regressions, scrapes and bruises in places you don’t want them, outfit malfunctions, you name it. Just know you won’t be getting pressure from me to move at a certain pace. We meet your family where they are at and we go from there. We give breaks as needed, we take turns with different families and just document what’s already happening with a little guidance. And I think the results speak for themselves.
