Should you Get Family Pictures Done if You're all Adults?- Park City Family Session
My typical type of session is usually making parents wrangle little ones and keep them busy and distracted with prompts that will give them beautiful and candid images. That makes the time go fast and honestly it’s “easier”. Which can make photographing a group of adults a different kind of challenge. However, I always feel proud of a family that books a session even if the majority is adults! When everyone is grown up and starting their own lives its probably harder and more important to document when you all get together.
This family has 6 kids that are scattered all over the US and took the opportunity over the holidays to get together in Park City. I’m grateful that they weren’t afraid of some wind and low temperatures. Sometimes shooting as bunch of adults feels too “easy”. Adults are typically more cooperative so time actually feels harder to fill than with little kids running around. But if you can get them to loosen up like this family then they turn into kids and you can get a lot of great candids.
We played in sleds, had a sibling snow ball fight, tackled each other in the snow. And distracted ourselves from how freaking cold it was. But the views and good company made it all worth it. The more you move the warmer you stay!
Whether you have all adults or a mixture of adults and kids we will have fun regardless and give you some unforgettable images to reflect the fun we have together.
