Mini Session at Wanoga Snow Play Area | Bend Family Photographer
Sometimes its fun to go outside of Bend and take family pictures up the mountains! We went up Mt. Bachelor area and stopped at Wanoga Snow Play area which is vacant in the fall without snow but beautiful nonetheless! The Allen family is one of the first we met from Bend virtually before we actually moved out here! We have mutual friends who connected us which made our move here so much easier. They actually let us ship a few bigger items ahead of time to their house before we got here so we weren't stuck waiting for mattresses days on end. What kind of people do that? Really good ones! Bree’s southern charm comes out with how much she loves hosting girl’s nights and potlucks dinners.
Bree and Devon just finished building their first house and let me tell you, its like out of a magazine. I know because I’ve been to it. Bree is the next Joanna Gaines and Devon brings all of her visions she needs built to life. Devon runs his own cabinetry business in town and Bree has an eye for all things interior so it goes without saying that everything in their new home is beautiful but also functional as they have a sweet little 2.5 year old boy pictured here.
Bree wanted something with pine trees and rich greens, so we headed up Mt. Bachelor for our session. And the colors Bree picked out for outfits complimented the scenery so well. I typically stay in town for sessions, so this was so fun to check out a new area and photograph a different type of backdrop. Also, my clients in general have been looking like they belong on the cover of a Bend Fall family magazine with their outfit choices and it was no different when Bree and family stepped out of the car looking like this. Their outfits were simple pieces and colors but they coordinated so well and went perfectly against all the pine trees. With cooler temperatures too don't hesitate to layer with cute sweaters, cardigans or pull overs.
I think I can speak for all parents that when they are getting pictures done they want the best of their kid's personalities captured. It's always what I work hard to do during a session. Bree told me how much she loves Nash's innocence and general sweetness when he interacts with others and wanted that to be photographed.
This little guy has one of the sweetest smiles and best laughs I have ever heard. He was a delight to follow around and photograph watching him explore and playing with mom and dad. Don't you just feel the cuteness oozing out of these images with him?! I love capturing kids in their natural element. 30 minutes was plenty of time for him to get comfortable with me and get a lot of candid shots that show his sweet and adorable personality. I want you to have pictures of your family like this. So what are you waiting for?
