FAQs for a Family Photographer | Best Places to Print your Pictures

As a family photographer, after I work with my clients in Bend, I get asked this question A LOT. Where should we print our pictures from? I know a lot of people who use Costco and I’ll be honest I have even used them in the past. But did you hear the news? Costco is closing its in store printing services EVERYWHERE. Everybody stay calm! I don't actually recommend Costco to print your professional pictures (haters come at me). Costco's printers are not actually that high quality and if you are trying to print anything other than pictures from your phone, the colors and quality most likely won't match. I have seen this on my own pictures and others. But have no fear I come bearing gifts of the best online printers that you should be using to print your pictures.

Again, I can tell you to stay far away from places like Target, Walgreens, Walmart for printing. These are not professional printers so the results won't be good. Here are my three top online printers:

1) Nations Lab- I have used these guys to print my own family pictures and industrial sized pictures in my home and have never been disappointed in the quality. I usually qualify for free shipping as well depending on their amount you have to spend for that. They have regular deals and their shipping is fast! And their individual images for smaller prints are really comparable to the cost of Costco's!

2) Mpix - We did our Christmas cards through Mpix this year and I got so many compliments on them. so many options for services such as albums, large prints, even printing on different types of services for canvas (wood, metal, etc.) and a sales page to see what other discounts they are offering. And BONUS: They always have a good percentage off for your first purchase through them.

3) Shutterfly - I used to think Shutterfly was only known for their big clunky albums with dozens and dozens of pictures. I know because my mom made them for my wedding and newborn pictures of my daughter. But they also provides great printing services in smaller form. They have deals on EVERYTHING and big ones. I am not lying.

There you have it, folks. SO when you want to get those pretty pictures taken don't just let them sit on your computer or let all that work go towards a crappy printing job, instead look into these options and I promise the results will be so good from these places! Happy printing!
