Sawyer Park Family Pictures | Bend Family Photographer
Maybe Bend is just full of younger families, because that is predominately what I work with, but when Stassen family contacted me I was really excited to work with some older kids! I don't get too many families with teenagers looking to get pictures done. I get it, you may just want to forget the teenage years all together, lol. Teenagers get a bad wrap and I love that this mom wanted to get updated pictures of her family. All ages and stages are worth documenting! We had to reschedule our session due to 40 MPH winds. a little wind for pictures is actually not a bad thing. Think wind blown hair, a little movement to a dress, however if you're going to have hurricane winds then you'll for sure have your hair blown straight up or covering everyone's faces and people will be trying to keep their clothes from blowing off. That's something photoshop can't fix. SO rescheduling really was the best option here.
Sawyer park is another hidden gem that stretches on both sides of the Deschutes River. It's got great trails in all directions that follow the river and others that go above it. Big rocks on both sides, some even with caves. a great place to fish, picnic, and sit and enjoy the summers when the weather is warmer. It's also super dog friendly! In the Fall, there is beautiful yellow, orange and red trees and shrubberies everywhere.
These guys dressed to match the fall scene at Sawyer park. I loved their 70's vibe with their outfit and their son's hair really sealed the deal for me. Also their sweet dog was a treat to have with us. We took a few with her and then had her leashed to a tree nearby while we finished. So if you want your dogs included in your pictures that is totally possible!
Regardless of the ages of your kids, capturing the season that your’e in whether its running your kids to and from activities or with them little at home, no point in life is less important to capture than others.
