Big Cottonwood Canyon Snowy Session- Salt Lake Family Photographer

I love a brave family who is willing to get out in some snow fall and embrace it. We got a gorgeous snowy session for this family up Big Cottonwood Canyon with this family visiting from out of town. We work quickly during snowy sessions because if it is actually snowing then your clothes and hair will start to get wet. This is why I always encourage wearing a beanie our scarf or something to help stretch out that time before you feel soaking wet.

This family was ready to run around, snuggle under a blanket and race on the sled. Winter photos leave just as much opportunity for candid shots as warmer weather does. My advice for colder weather sessions is to just keep moving then you won’t be shivering and perseverating on the cold. I love the colors this family chose and thought their outfits were cohesive and stood out against the snow well.

I love me a good snow session and love when families are willing to go with the flow and embrace the cold. Don’t be afraid to try a snow session versus your typical fall or summer sessions. If you are interested in a snow session please reach out!
