In Home Newborn Session- Salt Lake Photographer

This little man was so alert our entire session. HIs hair and big blue eyes were something to behold. Sometimes older siblings can be apprehensive or obviously still adjusting to a new sibling coming into the world. This big sister was so gentle and curious about her new little brother. You can see in these pictures how she wanted to touch, and peak in the crib at him. Not all siblings are as interested in new siblings, so you do what you can!

We used a few different rooms in their home for our session, for some this works and for other’s this is too much work to have multiple rooms clean and picked up, or maybe you don’t have good natural lighting. You really only need one good window or corner of your house to use. Or if you would rather go the studio option that can always happen too.

Sometimes a newborn is snoozing during the session, so when a newborn is awake and alert I want to be sure to document their sweet eyes and expressions. But I always try to get pictures of little details like their nose, toes, fingers, and face because those change so quickly.
