Snowy Wooded Family Pictures- Snow Basin Family Photographer
This family is so special to me. And getting to photograph them is an honor and a dream. Larger families present more challenges as there is more people to pose and more to keep track of as you photograph, but time goes a lot faster with a family of 7 versus a family of three with a newborn. It’s so fun watching families grow and the stages change from toddlers to kids and teenagers. And when you’ve got 4 boys, there is bound to be lots of fun and chaos.
When working with older kids, its important to give them “jobs” or prompts that incorporate their younger siblings. Then you get more genuine reactions out of them and they don’t feel awkward with what they should be doing. And all these boys love dotting on their little sister and being competitive with one another. We did lots of racing, sledding and snow tackling.
When the group is big, you can get more combinations of different siblings who have a special relationship, or a child with a parent, and I’m always sure to update kids portraits because they change so much year to year. This little lady’s curls have grown so much compared to our last set of pictures and I bet the next set she’ll have some teeth missing.
If you’re a bigger family and worried about finding a photographer to be able to handle your crazy crew look no further!
