Santa Minis in Davis County | Utah Family Photographer
Is it me blogging about all of my adorable Santa Minis I did in March? Yes, yes it is. But I couldn’t not blog these because they are just so sweet. This is my second year offering these and they always go so fast. I always feel bad as I see people a week before Christmas looking for where they can get pictures of their kids with Santa. This year I offered 2 different days for these and both were a roaring success. I think it’s so special for these kids to get more than 30 seconds with Santa and to really give them the Christmas magic. This Santa is the best and someone I feel so grateful I have been able to work with during the Christmas Season. He has such a patience and gentleness with the kids and I haven’t seen a kid not warm up to him yet by the end of our time. We had a few more resistant little ones this year but who doesn’t love the iconic kid crying on Santa’s lap pictures.
The Studio here provided a beautiful Christmas set up so I didn’t have to do any work this year. The assortment of snow covered light trees was a simple but beautiful back drop. I love that White Space Studios always has an assortment of furniture that made it easy to switch out for different size families. This Santa is great because he is not trying to pressure your kids to sit on his lap. He is so kind and patient and meets your kids where they are at. I love seeming him come up with creative ways to win over kids. He brings book and small toys to show the kids, he will play peek a boo with them and I ask ahead of time kids names and a little about them to pass to Santa to help with the magic. Some of these kids have seen this Santa several times for Santa Minis over the years so they actually feel like they know Santa. And they get more comfortable every year.
I loved seeing kids come in their cute Christmas patterns or Christmas jammies. As you can tell from the faces on most kids, everyone loved Santa. There is no pressure at these sessions. Santa will always follow your kids cues and usually he wins them over by the end. Some parents want to be a part of the pictures as well and others love taking in the whole experience behind the camera. There’s no right or wrong way to do these.
I am so glad that I have gotten to do these and hope to continue to do them! if this is something you are interested in please reach out to me and I will look into setting these up if there is enough interest.
