Tunnel Springs Family Session- Salt Lake Family Photographer
When I was in Utah in June I was able to do a few sessions for friends and a new friend who I made through instagram! If you are a mom and trying to run a business you need to look into Michelle Gifford on Instagram and become a part of her Money Makers program. Cassi and I met through there. It's a great way for women to brainstorm, support and collaborate with each other in trying to grow their business. SO it meant so much to me that when I put it out there that we would be in Utah that Cassi wanted to support my business by booking a session.
We shot at Tunnel Springs which is an area I had seen pictures of but never actually been to and it is beautiful. I grew up in the East bay of California where we had huge hills similar to this that went on for a while and it was so nostalgic to see another place that reminded me of that. Tunnel springs is clearly a popular area by other photographers but the area is so big that we had no issue with being in anyone's way.
The DeMille family was darling. These kids are as different from each other as could be. But that is why I love working with families because not only are no families like another, but the kids within your own family are not even like each other! Getting to capture them individually and together and then with each parent is so fun to do. Your relationship with each kid is different and I try hard to document them genuinely. Also getting to capture couples is important too. That's where it all began and though your family is the focus often times, getting a few minutes with parents is always something I incorporate into our session.
Cassi wanted to make sure to get a few good shots of herself for her website to use for her business. Cassi works on providing resources and planners for moms struggling with anxiety and depression. She has so much useful information on her website. Here is the link for that. https://confessionsofamamaelephant.com/blog/ . I love being able to make women feel beautiful, especially moms. Every mom deserves a pictures of herself that she loves.
If you are in Utah and would like to know when I am coming to Utah next, let me know! And in the mean time check out some other blog posts!
