Mother's Day Mini Sessions- Bend Oregon Family Photographer- White Aspen Creative
This year is the first time I have ever held any sort of mini sessions back to back and I knew that I wanted them to be more than just mini family sessions. I obviously love photographing families but really as a mom, I know how hard it can be to 1) get in the picture (because your usually the one taking it) or two to feel good in your body to show up in the picture with your kids. However the season of motherhood you're in is fleeting and if your'e not in any of the pictures from that stage, what do your kids have to look back at? I never want my kids to say,“I wish had more pictures of my mom to look back on”.
Mother’s Day mini’s were the chance for moms to feel beautiful. To have pictures that accurately depict their love for their kids and their personalities all in one.
Think of everything your mom has done for you. Hours spent driving you back and forth to the extra curricular stuff and the talents she encouraged and rooted for you to develop. Think of the homemade lunches she made for you to take to school or the effort she put into making holidays special. The English papers she proof read or the nights she stayed up to wait til you were home after staying out late to be sure you made it home safe. She was everywhere in your life but maybe not very documented in your past.
I know that your camera roll is full of all these pictures and videos of your kids evolving and growing, you’ve been doing the same as a woman, mom and human being. And when you're gone, (hopefully not for a long long time) you still want to be remembered. Heck, you want to be remembered for 100’s of years after your'e gone.
Moms deserve to be on the receiving end for some attention for once, you deserve to be in pictures and to feel beautiful and to be complimented about what you’ve created. That is why I offered these for moms to have the chance to be a part of their legacy they are creating. I had mom's here who had never had professional pictures done, moms who struggled with infertility for years and now cant let a moment pass without it being documented and moms who love their kids and wanted their pictures to depict that.
Moms you are awesome, you are the glue to their world. If you are looking for family pictures or to just have your season of motherhood documented, I would love to chat.
